The Skylark Trail

The country road to the cliffs, from Walmer Station to Guston and Dover. This route takes you from Walmer Station, over the level crossing, past Ringwould (lovely old church and yew trees, and a fine pub). Great views of open countryside, old woods and hedgerows.

Martin is an historic village, and you can stop and refresh yourself at the Old Lantern Inn (pictured) - large garden for children to play - 01304 852276. Martin Mill station gives an opportunity to join or leave the route - near the station there is a pub and a campsite 01304 852658.

On through the small villages of East Langdon and Guston. Very pleasant rolling countryside with open views - listen for the skylarks.
