Days Out

We have something for everyone. Our castles are impressive all created by Henry V111 as mighty coastal defences.

If your interest is for historical buildings, then you won’t be disappointed. The Roman Painted House offers a glimpse of life more than 2000 years ago, while at Dover Museum you view the award winning Bronze Age Boat. In Deal, the Timeball Tower still drops its iron ball daily at 1pm – once vital for passing ships to set their chronometers and in Sandwich, The Guildhall, illustrates the town’s history from early medieval times.
