Dover
Tattoo

Military Spectacular 1st - 2nd June
The impressive historic garrison of Fort Burgoyne has
been chosen as the venue for the 2012 Dover Tattoo. Featuring
massed bands, exciting displays and a spectacular grand finale with
fireworks and music, there is something for everyone to
enjoy.
A world class line up of performers will include the renowned Royal
Signals White Hemlet Motorcyce Display Team, the thrilling Tigers
Parachute Display Team and the impressive Gurkhas Kukri Knife
displays. The massed bands include the Band of the Brigade of
Gurkhas, the Pipes and Drums of the Argyll & Sutherlands and
the Royal Engineers Band alongside a wealth of other performers. A
full scale assault, which will provide an exciting and explosive(!)
insight into how the Army would attack an enemy base is also being
planned.
On Saturday there will be an exciting Family Fun
Day looking behind the scenes of the event, discovering what
life is like in the military today and travelling back in time to
the Roman and Napoleonic eras with exciting re-enactments and
themed events, interactive and static displays. Memorabilia and
refreshment stalls will also ensure that this day offers something
for everyone.
