In an area graced with such great natural splendour you might be surprised to find an abundance of art and progressive architecture, and in White Cliffs Country we have just that.

The Pines Calyx in St Margaret’s, is a striking new building whose environmentally friendly design and construction have earned it a number of awards. It’s a wonderful combination of graceful curves and natural light, and it has been described as ‘one of Europe’s most sustainable and healthy structures’.

Similarly, the design for a new café on the end of Deal Pier was the subject of a competition organised by the Royal Institute of British Architects.

Artists are constantly inspired by our land and sea scapes, and their work can be enjoyed in the many theatres, art galleries, concert halls and venues that are open for your entertainment all year round.
