Marketing Options with White Cliffs Country

A number of different options are available to advertise accommodation in White Cliffs Country.  An annual Visitor Guide is produced along with a the Accommodationand Days Out leaflet.    More on marketing options

 

Data Management

As Data Stewards, we are responsible for all district tourism based data on behalf of Visit Britain and other official tourism organisations.

Guestlink and Destination Management

Accommodation providers are able to update their availability via a system called Guestlink and inputting their availability on a regular basis not only updates Dover Visitor Information Centre (VIC) and the White Cliffs Country website but information but will also show on Visit Britain, Enjoy England and Kent Tourism sites.  More on Guestlink

 

WCCTA - White Cliffs Country Tourism Association

The White Cliffs Country Tourism Association (WCCTA) was created as an independent trade organisation in response to local authority policy for tourism in the Dover, Deal and Sandwich area.

 

WCCTA’s aim with the support of official bodies and member organisations is to encourage the development of local tourism. More on WCCTA

 

Accreditation for Accommodation and Attraction provider's

Dover District Council operates an ‘inspected only’ policy in which all establishments marketed through our Visitor Information Centres and the White Cliffs Country Visitor Guide and website have to be assessed and graded by an approved national scheme such as Visit Britain or AA. This section also inlcudes how to start up an accommodation business.
