Walking in White Cliffs Country
Mile upon mile of marked walking
trails

and cycle paths criss-cross our coast and countryside, all
designed to showcase our prettiest or most spectacular views.
A wonderful cliff-top walk links Dover with St Margarets Bay
while at Samphire Hoe, which was created using the spoil from the
construction of the Channel Tunnel, you can walk or cycle in the
lee of Shakespeare Cliff, a site mentioned in King Lear.
The North Downs Way – which meanders through the Kent Downs Area
of Outstanding Natural Beauty - culminates at the White
Cliffs of Dover.
Explore themed trails such as the Skylark Trail, Miners Trail,
Stour Valley Walk and Saxon Shore Way, some have accompanying
leaflets, adding detail and interest along the way.
