Visit Deal
Many agree that Deal is a unique and special place and the
prettiest seaside town in Kent.
You’re never far from a Castle here - Henry VIII liked Deal so
much he built three! Only two of Henry’s Castles now remain, Deal
with its distinctive ‘Tudor Rose’ shape and Walmer which is now an
elegant stately home with beautiful gardens.
Food and drink are at the heart of a holiday in
Deal. Indulge yourself in some café culture in the newly
developed seafront refurbishment. Why not try some local freshly
caught fish in some of the restaurants and pubs or make the most of
the sunshine and pack up a picnic, we have some top class
delicattessens all waiting to be discovered.
Step back in time and explore the maze of narrow streets and
alleys where the Deal smugglers would try and evade King George’s
men in the 18th Century. These small quiet streets are
now home to Deal’s conservation area, filled with unique and quaint
cottages.
If you prefer to shop there is a range of small independent,
specialist shops to rival which rival the Brighton lanes.
Whatever time of year, savour some quality time and glimpse life
from a bygone age and enjoy!
