Delicious world street foods are coming to Deal Summer Market... which will you choose to sample first?
The open air Summer Market returns to Deal Castle Promenade, from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th June, for a relaxing alfresco dining and outdoor shopping experience, in a tranquil seaside setting in the quaint and quirky coastal town of Deal. Treat yourself to delicious edible delights, as you choose from a wide selection of freshly prepared street foods. Shop for artisan grocery products, arts, crafts, clothing and accessories, then unwind with a craft beer from the Famous Last Stand bar, whilst listening to some great live music. A number of local Kent traders will be attending the market, with a selection of world foods including pork or chicken souvlaki, meats cooked in a traditional smoker oven, arepas with various meat or vegetarian options, Mexican fajitas, crepes plus Thai and Chinese dishes.
A range of artisan groceries such as award-winning flavoured waxed cheese truckles, coffee beans, cakes, chutneys, fudge and olives will be available to take home and enjoy. The foodie treats will be accompanied by an array of stalls selling unique arts, crafts, clothing and accessories including ethically sourced and upcycled items, providing shoppers an opportunity to find unusual items for the home or gifts for friends and family.
The Summer Market will feature a format that accommodates social distancing and extra sanitation measures, to provide a vibrant and interesting experience that is safe for people to enjoy at this time.

A regular feature for many years, the Open Art Trail has become a successful event for the community and the artists that take part. With galleries and studios open once more, artists are keen to meet visitors and to discuss their new work.
The Art Trail is widening this year, to accommodate even more artists in beautiful areas to visit, with some great scenery and even more stunning artwork.
Artists will be opening their studios to the public with group shows at the Angling Club and the Landmark Centre in Deal. There are a total of 35 artists taking part over two consecutive weekends, between 19th-20th June and 26th-27th June.
