What attractions are open in White Cliffs Country?
Dover Castle, Walmer Castle and Richborough Roman Fort (English Heritage) are open (with restrictions) for pre-booked visits only – this includes English Heritage members. Visits can be booked online.
The White Cliffs of Dover (National Trust) are open but with restrictions – please check their website for the most recent updates.
Other businesses are beginning to open but again, with restrictions; we recommend you contact them directly for the most up-to-date information. Most attractions and many places to eat & drink will be available by pre-booking only.
Dover Museum & Visitor Information Centre is currently closed, as are Deal and Sandwich Visitor Information Centres, but you can still contact us via email to VIC@dover.gov.uk for information about the district. We will respond during business hours. Sorry, we are currently unable to take telephone enquiries.
Can we visit the White Cliffs?
You can get to the top of the cliffs by car (there is a £5 parking charge) or on foot via the seafront and East Cliff stairs. Walking maps are available, free of charge, from the Visitor Information Centre in Dover.
For a view of the cliffs (and great photos!) you can walk along the new pier.
Is there a local boat trip?
