- Most visitors like to begin at Dover at the White Cliffs Visitor Centre, taking the breathtaking coastal path to the South Foreland Lighthouse at St Margaret's Bay. You can make this a circular trip and walk back (or catch the bus!) to Dover, or you can continue along the cliffs to Kingsdown.
- According to The National Trust, a Viewpoint Walk takes about 20 minutes (although we think you'll be captivated and like to stay longer!).
- Walking to the Lighthouse (2 miles) takes about 50 minutes. You can take refreshments at Mrs Knott's Tea Room at South Foreland Lighthouse, and at White Cliffs Visitor Centre.
- There is a cliff edge route (please take care) and a route a little further away. Whichever route you choose, you can enjoy panoramic views of the English Channel, glimpses of the French coast on a good day, and the beautiful rare plants and insects on the famous White Cliffs.
