Walk with Amal Dover Welcome Event - Light Guides The Way is a procession of 500 Lanterns which will welcome a 3.5m puppet of a refugee child to Dover.
Little Amal is a giant 3.5m puppet of a refugee child who is travelling 8,000km to highlight the plight of child refugees.
The lantern procession will lead Amal to Dover Castle to discover an incredible lighthouse sculpture, which will be illuminated by the lanterns in an exciting finale.
This free event is open to all.
Entry to the castle event is only on foot and the audience are invited to follow the procession to the castle.
Free lantern workshop taking place Sunday 17th from 10-4pm at Biggin Hall, Dover for anyone who would like to take part.
Good Chance, in collaboration with world-famous creators of War Horse Handspring Puppet Company, is presenting its most extraordinary work yet: The Walk – a travelling festival of art and hope in support of refugees.
Procession starts at 6.15pm in Pencester Gardens.
