Given to the people of Deal by the Astor family in 1945 for 'courage and fortitude' during WWII, the theatre has become a hugely important hub for culture, learning, shared experiences, school interaction and belonging.
The Astor is a unique multi-purpose arts centre offering an eclectic mix of music, theatre, literary events, art exhibitions, films and a range of classes and clubs for all ages and tastes.
Their aim is to serve the whole community by providing an inspiring, enriching, entertaining and educational programme that enables access to the arts for all.
