Regularly listed Top 100 golf courses, it appears in Golf World's Top 100 for X Factor in 2024 as one of England's finest courses, picked particularly for its ‘rumbustious seaside terrain’. Golf journalist Chris Bertram says Royal Cinque Ports ‘has absolutely everything you could want.’

Come and see for yourself: the well-presented playing surface at Deal is firm and undulating, challenging players' skills with steep bunkers and, of course, a sea breeze! With excellent practice facilities and said to be one of the finest links golf courses in the British Isles, Royal Cinque Ports hosted The Open Championship in 1909 and 1920.

  • 'The 49th Open' in 1909, won by J H Taylor
  • 'The 55th Open' in 1920, won by George Duncan.

Deal is also a final qualifying course for 'The Open' and the RCPGC jointly hosted the English Amateur and British Seniors Championships in 2007 and 2008 respectively.

Disabled car parking facilities are available in the members' car park. The Club also has a lift and accessible washroom facilities.
