On Sunday 14 September, a poignant and fascinating event at the Battle of Britain Memorial site, as they explore the emotive topic of the Battle of Britain’s ‘Missing Few’ - the brave airmen shot down and listed as ‘Missing’ during the summer and autumn of 1940, leaving families without closure for decades.
Beginning at 11am with a screening of 'Forgotton', written and directed by Battle of Britain researcher Philip Harvey. The film will be followed by moving stories of some of the missing airmen shared by Dilip Sarkar MBE, Honorary Vice-President of the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust CIO.
The event will conclude with a panel discussion, where Philip and Dilip will answer questions from the audience.
This special event is free to attend, but suggested donation of £5 per person to help the Trust continue to preserve the memory of 'the Few'.
