No matter what the time of year, we've got a mixed bag of exciting events on offer in White Cliffs Country - there's something for everyone!
Choose from historic re-enactments, fossil hunting, kite flying, live music, exhibitions, firework displays, colourful carnivals and regattas.
Visit medieval Sandwich as it goes French for 'Le Weekend' in June, get your walking boots on for the White Cliffs Walking Festival in August, and tickle those taste buds at our popular Food and Drink events. After all, we've got a lot to celebrate - the beloved 'sandwich' snack was invented here!
With the current situation regarding Coronavirus, unfortunately many events in the near future have been cancelled. As more information about events become available, we will endeavour to keep things updated on these pages. We would however recommend that you phone the venue beforehand to avoid disappointment.

"Lord of Lydden – Sidecar Burn Up" is an action-packed weekend of motorcycle racing, featuring many solo classes including Production 400cc; MZ’s; Ducati’s; Yamaha pre-86; F1 & F2 and Classic Sidecars. One of the oldest motorcycle racing events in the UK, running from 1966 to 2009, it made a highly successful and welcome return in 2018.
This year all riders will compete in several heats over the weekend to claim their place on the grid for Sunday afternoon’s Lord of Lydden trophy and Sidecar Burn Up trophy races. Once again the circuit welcomes the BSSO Scooter club, who will be holding their end-of-season finale of Super and Stock Scooters. Unfortunately, the youngsters from FAB Racing will not be competing this year.
