Creative adaption of comic genius Douglas Jerrold's rousing stunner of a Victorian play 'Black-Eyed Susan' - set (where else?) in what Dickens called "villainous", but his friend Jerrold also found "delightful", Deal.
Robert Poulter’s ingenious new model theatre is the setting for this classic play capturing the Deal coastline and its landmarks and using music from Jonathan Blewitt’s 1829 score. Robert’s new model theatre extends the medium of the Toy Theatre by creating shows with movement, lighting effects and changes of scenery.
Two shows starting at 2.30pm and 5pm. Performances last approximately one hour.
Doors open 2pm with bar service available 30 minutes before and after performance; garden open after performance
