The talk by Cassandra Harrington, an art historian of the Middle Ages, who recently earned a doctorate from the University of Kent, will uncover the history behind the ‘Green Man’ and the symbolism of foliate heads and masks in gothic art. Cassandra is soon to publish a book on this topic and her talk will also touch on the Anglo-Norman masked capitals in St. Clement’s, Sandwich.
