A former 17th century farmstead just outside Deal with 10 luxuriously appointed rooms.
Updown Farmhouse is an Accommodation. Area Deal
Updown, the much-lauded restaurant with rooms from Oliver Brown and Ruth Leigh, located in a 17th-Century Grade II-listed farmhouse in Deal, opened for dining and accommodation in 2022.
The beautifully restored farmhouse and grounds are set within seven and a half acres of rolling Kent countryside, just 15 minutes from the popular coastal town of Deal. Along with the Gatehouse, Gardener’s Cottage and Stables, the farmhouse has been lovingly updated to provide a total of ten luxuriously appointed rooms. All are well stocked with drinks and snacks.
There is plenty of space to relax and guests are encouraged to treat it as a real home from home. There is a library with books, games and daily newspapers, and an honesty bar for guests to mix their own drinks.
A simple room service menu is available throughout the day until 10pm and 8.30pm on Sundays and a table will be available in the restaurant for dinner for staying guests. Breakfast is served in the restaurant or outside on the terrace.
Updown also runs special events such as creative workshops, guest chef meals and children's events. Please see their website for details.
