Following 2025’s popular event, this is another chance to bring the family to a celebration of music, storytelling, dance and poetry in this beautiful community garden.
The day starts with a storytelling walk through the garden for children and their families with actor, writer and teacher Naomi Cortes.
There will then be lively music from DMA’s Youth Band, the Captain’s Garden’s Scratchband and joyful participatory circle dancing on this World Circle Dance Day, accompanied by the Landmark Show Choir!
Rounding off the day, there’s a poetry open mic session under the beautiful walnut tree at the end of the garden. Bring your deckchairs and picnic rugs and while away the hours.
10am - 11am | Storytelling walk for children 4 – 10 (all children must be accompanied by an adult.)
1pm – 2pm | Poetry open mic session
The garden is still a ‘Work-In-Progress’ so paths are either woodchip/grass (with a step down at the Gate). There is no-parking at the garden, please use street/castle car park or Tides.
