A White Cliffs Walking Festival walk.
Join the White Cliffs Countryside Partnership (WCCP) for a guided walk from the centre of Dover up to the Western Heights.
The walk starts in Pencester Gardens heading to Cowgate Cemetery, up to Drop Redoubt and then to Citadel café for a lunch stop. In the afternoon, the walk heads to St Martins Battery to explore more of the Western Heights before ending with VIP access to the Grand Shaft. The walk will finish at the bottom of the Grand Shaft on Snargate Street. [What 3 Words: skin.outgrown.clef]
This is a great opportunity to learn more about the history of the area, how WCCP are managing these sites for nature, recent wildlife sightings and much more.
- Please come dressed appropriately for the weather and bring binoculars if you have them.
- This walk will cover steep inclines, uneven ground and unsurfaced paths.
- Although this walk is free to book onto, donations are welcome on the day.
