The restaurant serving the 'best burgers in Kent' as voted by a 2023 KentLive poll of its readers, Hay's Shack knows a thing or two about the popular dish.
Customers can build their own burgers with ingredients including coleslaw, lettuce, onion, gherkins and large range of cheeses and sauces. The restaurant owner created the burger recipe and makes the piri piri, mango and lime sauces, and a show-stopping chilli jam (made from chillies grown by her dad). The meat comes from a local butchers.
Other specialities include sweet traybakes (two types are made each week) and sharing boxes, such as a Mexican box for 2 or a 4-way loaded box. The options vary week to week so please check the restaurant's social media channels for details.
